PLASTIC PARTS AND COMPONENTS FOR AGRICULTURE: PAD COOLING SYSTEM, INJECTION MOULDING AND EXTRUSION

Since 1977, BARKU develops and produces plastic products using injection moulding and extrusion. The products are also assembled and shipped as complete assemblies. BARKU's proprietary products in the greenhouse sector include the Pad Climate System, Growing Gutters, and other profiles for greenhouses. Today, more than 15,000 tons of raw material are processed annually. The plant at the company headquarters in Barnstorf now covers an area of 65,000 m², of which 21,000 m² are covered. More than 150 skilled employees work here in three shifts, utilizing state-of-the-art technology

Extruded plastic parts

Our current 13 extrusion lines process around 10,000 tons of various thermoplastics into various technical profiles and more than 15,000 km of pipes per year. In addition to hard and soft PVC, we process various other thermoplastics such as POM, PP, PE, TPU/PUR, etc. for high-quality applications.

Co- and tri-extrusion is used to produce, among other things, folding or collapsible profiles, seals and 2- or multi-colored components.

The integration of downstream processing steps such as drilling, punching, milling, sleeving, etc. allows for the economical production of components with additional functions.

Injection-moulded plastic parts

Our injection moulding department currently has more than 70 injection moulding machines with clamping forces of 200 to 11,000 kN.

A wide variety of thermoplastics (including ABS, ASA, PS, PP, PP TV, PP GF, PE, TPE and TPU, POM, PA 6 + PA 6.6 with and without GF or GK, PK and PVC) are molded millions of times into components of reproducible quality up to an injection weight of up to 9 kg.

Machines are available for the implementation of articles using the so-called 2- or 3-component technology (different colors or materials, e.g. hard-soft) as well as the insert moulding process (inserting and overmoulding metal components).

Assembly of components

Depending on the application, your assembly consisting of several components will be assembled manually, partially automatically, or fully automatically if required.

At BARKU, in addition to suitable manual workstations, we also use high‑precision fully automated machines and, in some cases, autonomous systems that operate independently over entire shifts.

Simple form-fitting assemblies, several coordinated work steps and complex joining processes ensure that your application is implemented in a functional and, at the same time, needs-based manner.
